CRUISES
Morning, Afternoon, or Sunset Cruise: $75 per person, Carolina Gale; $60 per person, Carolina
Breeze.
Morning and afternoon cruises are for about 2 ½ to 3 hours. They may be on the ocean, river and/or
Intracoastal Waterway, depending on wind and tide. Sunset cruises are two hours long, and include
complementary hors d'oeuvres.

Eco-tours: $55 per adult passenger, $35 per child accompanied by an adult
These short and spectacular, family-friendly tours are 1½ hours duration. Depending on wind
conditions, we may use only the mainsail or sail with "bare poles" only.
Number of Passengers: A minimum of three passengers or equivalent fare is needed to schedule a
cruise on the Tayana 52, Carolina Gale. A minimum of two passengers or equivalent fare is required
for a cruise on the Colgate 26, Carolina Breeze. We try to match up individuals and couples to make an
enjoyable sail. We can take up to 6 passengers per boat.
Bald Head Island pick up and drop off: add $80 event (passengers to share cost).

Extra Crew
We typically take along well qualified crew members to help make your cruise or class comfortable and
enjoyable.
Team Training and Special Events
Is your company looking for a way to improve communication and cooperation? Using our skills as a
psychologist and sociologist, we provide business groups with an outstanding experience using one or
both or our boats, for up to 11 persons. For larger groups, we cooperate with other charter companies
and sailing schools to provide team training or special events on multiple boats. Rates for team training
and special events are negotiable. Contact us to discuss your goals.
Overnight Cruises
Longer trips may be arranged for persons who have had a positive experience on a day sail with us.
Seasonal rates apply.
CLASSES AND INSTRUCTION
(Rates are for individuals. All ASA classes except Coastal Navigation (a prerequisite of Advanced
Coastal Cruising) must be taken sequentially.) Performance Sailing and Sailboat Racing may be taken
after one completes Basic Keelboat,or in combination with Basic Keelboat, but are not required for
progressing through the ASA courses. ASA classes include American Sailing Association Certification.
Introduction to Sailing: $80 (3 1/2 - 4 hour lesson)
Basic Keelboat (ASA 101): $420 (2 days or 4 half days)
Basic Coastal Cruising (ASA 103): $470
Performance Sailing, $50 per two-hour session (Colgate 26; may include use of the spinnaker)
Sailboat Racing, $80 per event
Bareboat Chartering (ASA 104): $525 (if more than two students, discount for couples who share a
cabin) (48-hour live-aboard cruise)
Coastal Navigation: Self study; (ASA 105): $100 exam fee plus $35 per hour charge for
tutoring/instruction.
Advanced Coastal Cruising (ASA 106): $500
$35 per hour for instruction on your own boat
SAILBOAT SLEEP-OVERS (available only to our cruising guests or sailing students, spring and fall)
$100 for master cabin, on Carolina Gale
$50 for each additional quarter queen berth on Carolina Gale
$25 for settee berth in the saloon.
Accommodations only. Several good restaurants are within walking distance, or we will provision the
boat for an extra fee.
Discounts on sleep-overs may be offered off season if one stays more than one night.
Prices are for sleeping on the boat while docked by Fishy Fishy Café.
BOOKING

To reserve a cruise or class, please send us a check for 50% of the class cost or a $100 deposit for a
cruise, along with the booking form, and pay the balance by cash or check on the day of the sail. If you
prefer to pay for your adventure or a gift certificate by a major credit card or PayPal, you may do so by
clicking on the button at the top of this page, and filling in the total amount due. (There is a $15 fee for
refunds given for PayPal transactions made more than a month in advance of a cancelled sail.)
