Come visit us in historic and charming Southport, NC!
Priority Sailing
From Highway 17, Highways 211, 87, and 133 all lead to Southport and bring you to Howe St. Drive south past
the water tower, to Moore Street. It has a stop light and is one block north of the river. Turn right there.
From Kure Beach or Carolina Beach, you can have a pleasant trip to Southport via the Southport-Fort Fisher
ferry. The ferry costs $5.00 per car, each way. You should expect the trip to take a little over an hour: 15 minutes
to drive to the ferry, 15 - 45 minutes to wait in line, 30 minutes for the ferry ride, and 5 minutes to reach the Old
Yacht Basin. In the summer months you need to be in line well ahead of time to be assured of a spot on the
ferry. We recommend you plan to catch an earlier ferry than the one required to get you to our boat at the
scheduled time. You can sight see in Southport if you arrive early.
Once you get off the ferry, proceed on Ferry Road to the stop sign, and then turn left on Moore St. There will be
a stop light at Howe St. The Visitors Center and Keziah Park are in the first block after the stop light, on the left.
You may want to stop there for a picnic and to pick up walking trail maps.
West Moore Street ends at Yacht Basin Drive. Park wherever you find a space. Construction is currently
going on in the area. Our boats are normally docked behind Fishy Fishy Café, right where Moore Street ends.
