About Us
Sailing is a recreational activity that puts people in harmony with
nature and creates an exhilarating and challenging experience.
Worries are put aside as one enters the world of wind and water.
We want to share this priority--sailing-- with others.
We're in business for fun.
We're a "mom and pop" company, run by Captains Dave
and Carolyn Pryor.
David Pryor has been an avid sailor since he was six years old.
He has taught many boating courses and has competitively
sailed in local and long distance yacht races. Dave is a
licensed clinical psychologist and also is a psychoanalyst. He
is an outstanding listener and teacher who can help people
communicate well and work together as a team.

Carolyn Pryor has been sailing with Dave for more than 40
years. She is a certified instructor with the American Sailing
Association. Carolyn has skippered and crewed with women’s
teams. She was formerly a social work professor at Wayne
State University. After moving to North Carolina, she worked for
three years as a marine educator at the North Carolina
Aquarium. Carolyn currently works part time as an instructor of
sociology and a clinical social worker. She can help people of
all ages feel comfortable on the boat.
