The Captains Pryor frequently teach boating safety
classes to adults and youths. In March 2007 they
presented a program to a preschool class in Chapel
Hill, North Carolina about boating safety. In June 2007,
Dave Pryor was a featured speaker at the National
Association of Disability Examiners conference in
Raleigh. His topic was "Unwind with the Winds."
Carolyn impersonated infamous pirate Ann Bonny in an
"edu-tainment" program, "True Tales about Pirates," aboard a
Royal Caribbean cruise to Bermuda. Betsy Isley dressed as her
pirate side-kick, Mary Read.
Carolyn worked as a Marine Educator at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher for three years. She also is a local history buff and an actress. She not only provides "Edu-tainment" aboard the Carolina Gale, but also serves as a special interest speaker aboard cruise ships.
